Knoxville District 1 News
Urban Wilderness hike/bike trail and more
Hello and thank you for visiting my site.
What a great week for South Knoxville. We cut the ribbon for the Urban Wilderness hike/bike trail. If you are not famaliar please visit Legancy Parks website for the entire trail. It has fifteen miles of trails and fifteen miles of interior trails as well. This is a wonderful marketing tool to attract folks to South Knoxville to spend the day and visit other attractions and businesses along the way. This is a historic event for South Knoxville and the City as a whole for a new local and regional attraction. Lots more to come on this for years to come.
Mark your calender for next Saturday for a community celebration at the fire station on Sevier Avenue. There will be free food and the opportunity to meet those that protect us in our homes. The event will be from 12-2 and we hope to see you there.
KPD has launched the RAIDS Online website. The website maps shares crime information with the community. Chief Rausch said the RAIDS Online mapping system will allow the department to share crime information with the community while helping to reduce crime, improve public safety, and to enhance neighborhood-police partnerships. Users will be able to customize the interactive maps for their neighborhood or view the enrire city. It also contains a crime tip program that will allow citizens to send an anonymous tips to KPD.
Thanks again for visiting my website and feel free to contact me @454-7216.
